Fresh Cut Hay captures  the peace and tranquility of our meadow just outside my studio window one early morning just after first mowing. I could smell the rich aroma of the hay as I painted. This oil painting invites the viewer to enjoy this seasonal cycle, the harvest of which provides winter feed for a large herd of sheep at a neighbor’s regenerative farm. It is a joy to be part of this innovative farming project and lifestyle and to capture  it on canvas.
