SCULPTURE

Elaine Franz Witten won first place in the online international solo show competition at lightspacetime.art. Her solo show on the website will be featured April 15 - May 14, 2024 in their Annual Solo Show series. There will also be a YouTube video presenting her bronze sculpture. Date to be announced.

Doves was awarded an Honorable Mention in the International Cultural Management's Art for Peace competition (Dec 2022) under the title Peace Dialogue.

Royal Flush (Pheasant) won first prize in the three dimensional division in the International LightSpaceTime's online 2022 11th annual All Women exhibition. There were 1,147 entries  from  30 different countries and from  forty one states in the U.S.

The Wild Run (Spawning Salmon) won 1st place in the 3-dimensional art category of Lightspacetime's International "Seascapes" Art Exhibition in October 2021. The  gallery received  590 entries from 21 different countries, as well as from 31 different states. 

Cavalla Volante (flying mare) was named among the top ten winners in the June 2021 3D category in an international online exhibition: "Animals" Art Exhibition. In the same exhibition, Vermont Morgan was awarded a spot in the Special Merit category.  The honors are especially notable as there were 895 entries from 29 countries and 35 states.

Extended Bow (Yoga Pose) has received several national and international awards. It placed among the top 10 (at #6) in the 3 Dimensional category at the LightSpaceTime online gallery’s “All Women” exhibition, January 2020. This exhibit had a total of 1047 entries from 34 countries. 

Additionally, this sculpture won second prize in 2005 at The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts, Fredericksburg, Virginia. This was a juried national exhibition. Extended Bow moreover received a Manhattan Arts International, New York, NY, “Herstory 2004” Award of Excellence.

Form and Spirit (T'ai Chi) - Form and Spirit received The Manhattan Arts International, New York, NY, “Herstory 2004” Award of Excellence.

Opus I (After Stradivarius) won a “Special Merit Award” at the LightSpaceTime online international “All Women” exhibition in January 2020. In addition, it received the Manhattan Arts International, New York, NY, “Herstory 2007″ Exhibition’s Best in Sculpture 2007 under title “Euterpe” (Goddess of Music) for this exhibition.

The Wild Run (Spawning Salmon) received an Award of Excellence in the online exhibition Our Bond with Nature (International Exhibit 2018).

Royal Flush (Pheasant) won the ManhattanArts International, New York, N.Y. “Herstory2018” Award of Excellence

Portrait of Marilyn received the Manhattan Arts International, New York, NY “Herstory2017” Award of Excellence.

Maestro won the Manhattan Arts International “The Healing Power of Art”  2015 competition.

Nestling, renamed “Nurturing” for this exhibition, received an Award of Excellence in Manhattan Arts International 2013 “Celebrate the Healing Power of Art.”

Maestro was awarded The Council of American Artists Societies, Inc. Prize for Excellence in Sculpture at The Academic Artists Association National Exhibition of Contemporary Realism, Springfield, Massachusetts 2007.

Personal Best won the Award of Excellence from the Center for the Visual Arts, Wausau, Wisconsin during the 2005 Midwest Winter Exhibition. Furthermore, this sculpture received two additional awards in the 2006. At the “In Motion” juried national exhibition at The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Fredericksburg, Virginia, Personal Best was chosen Third Place and Docents Top Choice.

Also recognized with prizes at The Manhattan Arts International, New York, NY, “Herstory 2004″ Award of Excellence, as part of Elaine Witten’s Centered Women Series were Form and Spirit and Summer Solstice.

Photo Finish won second prize in the Midland Art Association’s Spring National Exhibition at the Museum of the Southwest, Midland, Texas, 2003. It also won the Sculpture Prize at the Left Bank Gallery, Bennington, Vermont, 1997. Photo Finish won an Honorable Mention at the Equinox Resort Exhibition, Manchester, Vermont.

Fishing on Equinox Pond won first prize in a Northeastern States exhibition “The Great River,” Greenfield, Massachusetts 2001. Moreover, Fishing on Equinox Pond won First Prize at the Annual Competition Equinox Resort, Manchester, Vermont, 1994.

A unique Alabaster rose sculpture “Beyond Summer” won “Best In Show” at the Southern Vermont Arts Center, Manchester, Vermont, 1994.
