This triptych was inspired by several cherry trees in full spring bloom. This Asian style watercolor on Asian paper emphasizes the graceful dark limbs of the trees  contrasting with the delicate pink blossoms. I arranged the composition of the branches to read left to right across the three individual paintings, one enhancing the next. I chose a narrow black frame to repeat the dark value of the tree limbs..
