A stream of intense light cascading down a hilly bank of snow leading to a pond in Vermont, with a single heron as focal point, inspired this oil on linen panel painting. At  first, I just noticed the intense light and wished to capture that in paint. Only a moment later, the lovely heron caught my eye almost blending into the environment, but adding soft beauty to the scene.
