My portrait of Frost was inspired by the 125th anniversary of his birth. He lived and worked in Vermont and is buried just yards from my home. I imagined Frost at 70 years because at that stage of his life his face showed great strength yet had gained lines and furrows of character through a life as “dark and deep” as the woods he described. The base is Vermont verde antique marble.
