Mother and chick form an S shape in front which changes to a reverse S shape design in the rear. The sculpture suggests a pure free form shape with contrast between the black of the birds and the white of their bellies.

The Nestling, renamed “Nurturing” for this exhibition, was given an Award of Excellence in Manhattan Arts International, New York, NY “Celebrate the Healing Power of Art,” 2013.
