The original sculpture is then covered with “blanket” of clay and plaster. The clay blanket facilitates a mold within a mold. The clay blanket is removed and the space is filled with latex material that allows the mold to receive successive casting, and allows for easier removal of the wax once it is poured.

Reassembly, if the sculpture requires more than one mold; followed by bronze chasing and then the patina is applied.
