Fishing
on Equinox Pond I have studied the great blue herons which are somewhat
frequent, elusive but always treasured visitors to our pond outside
my studio windows in Vermont. My goal was to capture the grace of the
magnificent bird. I used the design element of an S curve. I cut the
marble base in a curved shape to evoke my pond and to contribute to
the continuous flow of th sculpture as a whole.
