The Morgan can be tracked back to a single Vermont stallion who didn’t even have a name and was called after his owner, Justin Morgan. “Cowboy” is a handsome strong dark bay Morgan who lives at Trumbull Hill Farm in Shaftsbury, about a mile from the artist’s studio. He is a riding stallion with a history of being a working cowpony in Wyoming.
